Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 129, reports as follows:
Bill No. 129,transmitted by Finance Director Diane Nakagawa via Communication No. 703 dated
January 19, 2024, amends Ordinance No. 23-50, as amended, the Operating Budget for the County of
Hawaii for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024.
This bill appropriates revenues in the State Grants—Transit-Oriented Development Capital Improvement
Projects for Kukuiola Village 9 account($400,000); and appropriates the same to Transit-Oriented
Development Capital Improvement Projects for Kukuiola Village 9 account. Funds would be used to
support the assessment, design, and feasibility of low-income affordable housing in a portion of Kukuiola
Village 9 in North Kona.
There was no discussion on this matter.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 129, and recommends
its passage on first reading.
