Subject: Bill 124 for Council Meeting
I support Bill 124 regarding changing the wind design criteria for residential buildings.This will make the
design and construction of residential homes more affordable for most residential lots on the island.
The most recent International Residential Code (IRC) uses 140 mph as the limit.There is no need for Hawaii
County code to be more restrictive than the IRC.
