Subject:County Council Meeting Testimony for February 6
Aloha,
I found about the county council meeting for today February 6th late so I was not able to request a
remote testimony by noon a business day prior. I would greatly appreciate the ability to provide
testimony related to County animal control. I have interactions with the various forms of County Animal
Control as I am often capturing loose/stray dogs, as well as I experienced a dog attack a few months
back and have experience with how the County Animal Control handled the situation. I have attempted
to discuss my concerns at various level of the County including to my County Council rep who failed to
respond to my request.I do teach all day at UH Hilo but I would try my best to give testimony over zoom
because I do feel there are some important issues that have been overlooked that desperately needs to
be addressed to ensure Animal Control can be successful.
