SUBJECT: A Resolution Authorizing the Mayor to Enter into an Agreement with the United
States Geological Survey for a Water Quality Study of the Lower Puna Region.
Please find attached a resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the
United States Geological Survey for a water quality study of the lower Puna region.
Also attached is the Balm, Request for Geothermal Relocation and Community Benefits Funds,
requesting$428,000 to engage the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) in conducting the
abovementioned study.
I request that this matter be placed on the appropriate Committee agenda.
