Aloha Council Chair Kimball and Council Members:
I am pleased to nominate Lisa Fukumitsu of District 3 to the Board of Ethics.
Lisa is a native of Hawai`i Island and embodies the spirit of aloha in all aspects of her life. She
graduated from St. Joseph's High School and later earned a bachelor's degree in psychology and
political science from the University of Hawai`i at Hilo. After that, she pursued a Master of
Science degree in Kinesiology and Rehabilitation Science from the University of Hawai`i at
Manoa.
Lisa has been a counselor, mentor, and advisor for the Upward Bound program at the University
of Hawai`i at Hilo. She has made a significant impact on the lives of countless students. Her
academic excellence, leadership skills, and genuine compassion make her an invaluable asset to
our Board of Ethics. If confirmed, she will serve a term ending December 31, 2027.
