Aloha Council Chair Kimball and Council Members:
I am pleased to nominate Lloyd Matsubara of District 9 to the Transportation Commission.
As a lifelong resident of Hawai'i Island, Lloyd understands the challenges and opportunities we
face with our transportation commission. He is a graduate of Hilo High School and Hawai`i
Community College where he studied auto mechanics. From his time at Tajiri Auto Repair to his
current position at the Hilton Waikoloa Village, he offers a strong work ethic, attention to detail,
and a willingness to go above and beyond.
Lloyd's involvement in volunteer work for numerous community organizations speaks volumes
about his commitment to giving back and making a positive impact. If confirmed, he will serve a
term ending December 31, 2028.
