SUBJECT: Transmitting Resolution No. 427-24, Draft 2; A Resolution Authorizing the
exemption of certain Code requirements, pursuant to Section 201H-38 of the
Hawai`i Revised Statutes, for the Kuakini Heights Affordable Housing Project in
Kailua Kona, Hawai`i, covered by Tax Map Key (3) 7-5-003:007.
Attached please find Resolution No. 427-24, Draft 2. Resolution No. 427-24 was amended by the
contents of Communication No. 698.7, as duly approved by the Council during its meeting on
February 21, 2024. .
The Council voted to suspend Rule No. 23-1(d) of the Rules of Procedure and Organization of
the Council, which requires the holdover of a substantively amended resolution, and adopted
Resolution No. 427-24, as amended to Draft 2.
