I am writing to show support of resolution 430.As a friend of family members who lost their father to the tragic dog
attack in ocean view a couple months ago, it pains me to see that the owners of these dogs have not been held
accountable.This horrific tragedy could have easily been avoided.As a parent of young children who lives in a
neighborhood with neighbors who raise aggressive"guard dogs",who have killed neighborhood pets, it's terrifying. Dog
owners need to be held accountable for their dogs behavior. Not only do I need to be worried that one of our pets or
children will be injured or killed, but we also know that with the laws the way they are now,the owners will not be
penalized.We support resolution 430 and hope to see a change in the way people raise their animals. Dogs should be
raised to be a part of the family, not something to be feared.
