There is no reason not to accept this money. You were all put on notice that the residents living below Pahoa off Highway 130 have no alternate route whatsoever because the Chain of Craters Road is always closed. This includes thousands of residents living in Leilani Estates, Pohoiki,Opihikao, Puna Palisades, Kehena, Seaview, Kaimu, Kalapana Gardens, Black Sands and everywhere along the Red Road and Highway 130.. The problem of no emergency roads have been building for decades, and yes, Land and Power in Hawaii is alive and well as we speak. You can see how the 2018 recovery funds have been spent, hundreds of millions of dollars but we still don't have roads, boat ramps or any money for remaining residents to mitigate the tens of thousands of extra miles driven since 2018,just to get to Pahoa... Time for you to rectify the wrongs of your greedy predecessors!!! Pass the Bill, get the Study done and Open The_Roads before we have another eruption or uncontrolled blowout at Puna Geothermal Ventures since the County of Hawaii is on the hook for responding to their emergencies, PGV has got it made, washed their hands of any responsibility for the community by making emergency response up to someone other then themselves!
