Re: Operating Budget
In the current Budget Ordinance 23-50, $140,000 is appropriated in the Department of
Parks and Recreation's ERS Section Activities account. There is a$55,000 increase in
revenues due to greater class participation in the Elderly Recreation Services' senior
activities.
Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by.appropriating these
additional funds into the Department of Parks and Recreation's ERS Section Activities
account, bringing the total appropriation to $195,000.

B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
COH/P&RIEAD/Elderly Recreation Services provides recreational classes to seniors 55 years of age and
older. The classes are designed to engage seniors to keep them happy and socially active. An increase to
the budget is requested due to an surge in interest and increase in class participation in Elderly Recreation
Services senior activities.
