More roads= more driving= no change in traffic congestion in the medium-to long-term. I don't see anything in the brief language of Bill 131 itself specifying the intent of the study,so I'm concerned that the process will default back to building new infrastructure for personal cars and trucks. I'd like to see more binding direction of the focus of the study, toward decreasing the need to drive personal vehicles, thus alleviating traffic congestion while improving community health in a more holistic and sustainable manner.
