Subject: TESTIMONY in favor of Resolution to study water in Lower Puna
Dear County Council,
It is more than time to use the County's share of PGV royalties to study the water in the area.
When you do the study, make sure that you go all the way out to the tip of Kumukahi and test the ocean
there as well, as the LERZ compartmentalizes the water trapped and it flows along the rift, sometimes
leaking out other places, as we are told the"impermeable cap rock"that PGV drills through already has
natural fractures-and then the unknown amount of fractures caused by PGV drilling well after well after
well...
I am glad you are going to finally help us, but a Bill would have teeth and fund the project, a Resolution
just talks about how nice it would be to have a Bill...
I apologize for my tone, it is great that you are finally going to care about the water where the Ahi of the
Pacific spawn.
I just have one question today, once you find the toxin in the water, how do you get it out???
