My family are permanent year-around residents in the White Sands Village condominium which is directly across Alii Drive from the La'aloha Beach Pazk (also known as the Harry K. Brown Park, Disappearing Sands Beach Park and Magic Sands). We have observed increased rowdiness, alcoholic consumption, trash thrown about, and persons sleeping in cars and within the Pazk. We would certainly hope that the proposed ordinances will help to alleviate these described situations. This Pazk is truly a Hawaiian treasure and should not be allowed to deterioate any more. We respectfully request that you heartily support the proposed measures and take whatever other actions that will assure this Park and others in similar circumstances will continue to be well preserved. Also, we believe it would be very helpful when ordinances and other matters aze proposed and hearing aze held regarding matters concerning this side of the Island that such hearings/information meetings, etc. be held in the Kona area. Sincerely, n _..Q~ 1 Robert M. Oswald 77-6469 Alii Dr. #136 Kailua-Kona, HI 96740 ~Na~/77•~3 Idle No. ~ Ref. To:~ 8ef. Date :1UL 0 5 2~
