Your Committee on Governmental Operations and External Affairs, to which was referred
Communication No. 740, reports as follows:
Communication No. 740,transmitted by Mayor Mitchell D. Roth, dated February 15, 2024,
requests the Council's review and confirmation of the nomination of Tyler Pacheco to the
Transportation Commission.
Executive Assistant to the Mayor Pomaika`i Bartolome was present in the Hilo Chambers to
introduce Mr. Pacheco, who was also present in the Hilo Chambers.
Your Committee on Governmental Operations and External Affairs is not in accord with the
purpose and intent of Communication No. 740, and forwards it to Council with a negative
recommendation.
