I am sending in my testimony showing my complete support in regards to the " resolution 443larch
20th hearing for the lower water study examining possible health impacts of geothermal operations".
As a born and raised Puna woman,who had immense chronic health issues, all related to this foreign
entity which has been gassing my family since I was 6 months old ,this is a dire need for my community.
Many are so sick weekly here in 2024 , and no matter what we do or who we plead to for help we get
mocked , laughed at, ridiculed and covered up.
Legal action is commencing, regarding this totally inhumane venture that is being enabled in Puna for 4
decades now as generations of families are chronically sick.Along with the water, we know we need
ANY FORM OF AIR MONITORING HERE .
PLEASE INCLUDE AIR PM TESTING, HEAVY METALS, ETC . my blood work alone has everything that is in
this air, and its insane !!! it's not good!!! I personally write Make Kalekini every time we are super sick and
report leaks and beg him to come check the air at our farm on pohoiki road (because he promises at each
community meeting that all we have to do is contact him and he will come check the air)AND HE
REFUSES TO COME EVERY TIME.
my keiki was pulled out of public school due to how insanely sibk she is EVERY DAY when the gasses
blow down here pohooki road from pgv and the 24 unmonitired kilauea geothermal fissires in leilani. My
own father has 90% mercury poisoning actually diagnosed by a medical doctor with the reason being
living at the base of the geothermal for 30 years . I as well have my court expert doctor,who demands I
move to get any form of health back yet I am trapped down here as so many others .
Over 200 residents in the radius signed the petition within a week to decommission pgv TODAY due to
threats to life

It's the duty of the Public servants who have been enabling PGV for way to long,to atleast make sure it is
safe to live by.
So again, i fully support this---with one single reservation being that i was under impressions that this
funding was supposed to be federally funded , and usgs funded.. not taken out of my communities only
security they have to be able to leave the area once this study proves what we have been saying all along
, and they need to start buying out many residents . It doesn't seem smart at all, nor fair,that the Lower
Puna community in radius has been asking for this for decades, but now that it's actually pos ip e we

see that the funding is coming out of the relocation funding(which we as a community were told was
depleted already,quite a few times)
Will they be replenishing the geothermal buyout fund if they deplete it for our health study?
Big things are in the works, and the oy way to go from here for sure, is approving this health and water
study for the sake of Hawaii as a whole.
You can't do what they have been doing to Tutu Pete,to say the least.
Thank you for your time.
We are very sick,all along the kapoho to pohoiki coast.This health study should have been done
decades ago and we wouldn't be in the sufferings we are as a community.
