I am writing on behalf of Going Home Hawai'i to express our strong support for Resolution 459-24 and to
respectfully request funds in the amount of$5,000 to support our community-based Reentry and Recovery
Housing program in Kona.
Going Home Hawai'i is dedicated to assisting individuals in their successful reintegration into the community
after involvement with the justice system. Our Reentry and Recovery Housing program plays a vital role in
providing a supportive environment for program participants and residents as they work towards restoration
and recovery.
The funds requested will be utilized to purchase a camera surveillance system that is essential for ensuring the
safety and security of our program participants and residents. This surveillance system will also monitor
common areas to prevent incidents and maintain a supportive environment conducive to restoration and
recovery.
Investing in this camera surveillance system will enhance accountability, deter negative behaviors, and
ultimately promote the successful reintegration of individuals into the community. By providing a safe and
secure environment, we can empower our program participants to focus on their rehabilitation and transition
back into society.
We sincerely appreciate your consideration of our funding request and the opportunity to continue serving the
community through our Reentry and Recovery Housing program. If you require any additional information or
