Aloha Esteemed Members of the County Council,
I am submitting personal testimony in support of Bill 109. It is my understanding that this bill allows the county council to
reconfirm the Department Head Mayoral Appointees every 4 years.
This bill adds another layer of accountability which appears to be lacking in county government.The logic is simple—if
the mayor has to be"re-elected" by the people,then her/his appointees should also be"re-confirmed" by the
"representatives of the people" —that being the county council.
