Subject: Bill 143 Extending council terms
I strongly oppose this bill.
This bill does not provide any accountability for council members to perform their duties, but allows
current council members to extend their own terms. Yikes!?!
At least with short terms, voters can vote out members who are not performing their duties or
misrepresented themselves during their campaign before they can do too much damage.
