Aloha, please note my strong support for passing Bill 144. If passed, this will enable our beekeepers
increased access to economic opportunities, increase our island's food security, and contribute to the
biodiversity of our ecosystems.
Beekeeping is an important part of our organization's approach to educating and helping beginning
farmers and apiarists incorporate bee products into their sustainable business models.We support Bill
144 for establishing generally accepted best management practices and thereby encouraging
appropriate apiary management.
