SUBJECT: Status regarding the Hawai`i County General Plan Comprehensive Review Process
from Corporation Counsel Elizabeth Strance and Planning Director Zendo Kern
We respectfully request approximately 15 minutes for an update, to be followed by 45 minutes
for discussion with Corporation Counsel Elizabeth Strance and Planning Director Zendo Kern.
Corporation Counsel Elizabeth Strance and Planning Director Zendo Kern will be providing
information on the status and process for the County's General Plan Comprehensive Review.
We will be discussing the comprehensive review timeline, and the Council's powers, duties, and
function for approval of the draft and final plan.
We request that this update and discussion take place during committees scheduled for April 30,
2024.
