I am pleased to nominate Donna Kinuko Noborikawa of North Kohala to the Leeward Planning
Commission.
Kinuko brings valuable insights into the community's needs and aspirations with her deep roots
in Halawa Camp and her extensive involvement in various cultural and historical organizations
in North Kohala. Her educational background in zoology and fisheries science, coupled with her
understanding of planning and code development, leadership, and management, make her well-
equipped to contribute effectively to the commission's work.
Kinuko`s commitment to preserving and promoting Hawaiian culture adds an essential
dimension to her perspective, ensuring that cultural considerations are integrated into planning
decisions. If confirmed, she will serve a term ending December 31, 2027.
