Subject: Bill 141/funds for senior classes /Elderly Activities
Aloha Council members
Yes we appreciate the senior classes here in Hilo but the real issue is that we are outgrowing the Kamana Senior learning
Center.
Please give us seniors our fair share of the pie and expand the existing building site and parking that has become almost
unmanageable . Please serve the needs of a growing elderly population.
Also find a way to make the semester sign up's more safe. Remember many seniors do not walk easily and May have
balance issues. It is dangerous to expect a herd of these people to rush from their cars simultaneously into a narrow
hallway. The head of Park and Recks has stated that he does not see a problem but then he is not 80 years old and sits
comfortably in his office. Please fix this.
