Brown Deputy Director Re: Agreement with the State of Hawaii Department of Defense, Hawaii Emergency Management Agency Enclosed is a resolution to enter into an agreement with the State of Hawaii Department of Defense Hawaii Emergency Management Agency. This agreement is to support and facilitate the installation and maintenance of a warning siren within the County of Hawaii Kamakoa Nui Park to serve the Kamakoa Phase I -A Subdivision region in the Waikoloa area. REQUEST: Requesting approval for a resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into an intergovernmental lease agreement with the State of Hawaii Department of Defense Hawaii Emergency Management Agency, to support and facilitate the installation and maintenance of a warning siren in the Waikoloa area. B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION USE ADDITIONAL, SHEETS AS NEEDED): Hawaii County Civil Defense Agency desires to enter into a license agreement with the State of Hawaii Department of Defense's Hawaii Emergency Management Agency which would support and facilitate the installation and maintenance of a warning siren within the County of Hawaii Kamakva Nui Park to serve the Kamakva Phase 1-A Subdivision region in the Waikoloa area. This siren would serve a gap area that currently does not hear a siren for emergency management purposed.
