Re: Comm. No. 797/Bill No. 146
Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 146, reports as follows:
Bill No, 146, transmitted by Finance Director Diane Nakagawa, via Communication No. 797 dated
March 28, 2024, amends Ordinance No. 23-50, as amended, the Operating Budget for the County
of Hawaii for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024.
This bill appropriates revenues in the Federal Grants — Hazard Mitigation Grant Program — Mana
Road Fire account ($33,200); and appropriates the same to the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program —
Mana Road Fire account to reduce the risk of wildfires.
Committee Member Matt Kaneali`i-Kleinfelder stated that this is the companion bill to
Resolution 471-24.
There was no further discussion on the matter.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 146, and
recommends its passage on first reading.
