Aloha Council Chair Kimball and Council Members:
I am pleased to nominate Arthur Buckman of District 5 to the Police Commission.
Arthur has been a resident of Hawai`i for 38 years, during which time he has actively engaged in
various volunteer activities to protect the environment and enhance community well-being. With
over three decades of experience in various fields, including education, environmental advocacy,
and community organizing, Arthur possesses knowledge and skills that would greatly benefit the
Police Commission.
Arthur's diverse background and deep understanding of the community's needs make him well-
equipped to contribute meaningfully to the commission's efforts to promote public safety and
foster trust between law enforcement and the community. If confirmed, he will serve a term
ending December 31, 2028.
