I am pleased to nominate Mattson Davis to the Kona Community Development Plan Action
Committee.
Mattson has been a resident of Hawai`i since 1997. He brings twenty-three years of experience in
business and responsible development, as Owner/Proprietor of Magics Beach Grill,
Consultant/Managing Partner with Manini Holdings, LLC, and Ulu Development, LLC, and
former President and CEO of Kona Brewing Company.
Mattson is a former founding board member, chair of the Kailua Village Business Improvement
District's marketing committee, and the past President of the Big Island Chapter of the Hawai`i
Restaurant Association. He most recently served as a member of the County of Hawai`i Board of
Appeals. If confirmed, he will serve a term ending December 31, 2025.
