A. REQUEST:
To authorize the Mayor to enter into an intergovermental agreement with the State of Hawaii, Department of
Education to provide meals for the County of Hawaii Nutrition Program
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
The State of Hawaii, Department of Education is authorized to contract with and provide meals for
governmental bodies which are eligible to participate in senior Nutrition program in accordance with Title III
of the Older Americans Act. The County of Hawaii desires to enter into an agreement with the State
Department of Education to provide meals to participants on the Nutrition program.
