?J''SY OF y\,1 ) <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAI`I i+ P ''"=<••0 • STATE OF HAWAI`I <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 514 24 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN <br /> AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF HAWAII, DEPARTMENT OF <br /> EDUCATION PURSUANT TO HRS 46-7, TO PROVIDE MEALS FOR <br /> THE COUNTY OF HAWAII SENIOR NUTRITION PROGRAM <br /> WHEREAS, the State of Hawaii, Department of Education is authorized to <br /> contract with, and provide meals for, governmental bodies which are eligible to <br /> participate in senior nutrition programs in accordance with Title Ill of the Older <br /> Americans Act; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii is a governmental body which is eligible <br /> to participate in such programs; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii desires to utilize services of Department <br /> of Education to provide meals to participants in its senior nutrition program; and <br /> WHEREAS, Hawaii Revised Statutes, Section 46-7, requires that County <br /> departments obtain the consent of the council to enter into agreements with the <br /> federal or state governments respecting action to be taken pursuant to any of the <br /> powers granted by law to furnish, expend, and receive any funds or other <br /> assistance in connection with projects being or to be undertaken pursuant to those <br /> powers; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I, in <br /> accordance with section 46-7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, that the Mayor of the <br /> County of Hawaii is authorized to execute, on behalf of the County, this and all <br /> future agreements and related documents with the State of Hawaii, Department of <br /> Education as indicated above. <br />
