REPORT OF THE <br /> COMMITTEE ON FINANCE <br /> DATE: April 30, 2024 Re: Comm.No. 839/Bill No. 154 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Kailua-Kona, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 1:00 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance,to which was referred Bill No. 154, reports as follows: <br /> Bill No. 154, transmitted by Finance Director Diane Nakagawa, via Communication No. 839 dated <br /> April 12, 2024, amends Ordinance No. 23-51, as amended,relating to public improvements and <br /> financing thereof for the fiscal year July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024. <br /> This bill adds the Parks and Recreation Spencer Kalani Schutte District Park Community <br /> Center/Emergency Shelter—Private Project($750,000)to the Capital Budget. Funds for this project <br /> shall be provided from Private Contributions,to construct a new multi-use community center/emergency <br /> shelter facility at Spencer Kalani Schutte District Park.
