What she did was go and fill her toolbelt to t6q , brim, only to return to bring those tools and her gifts to better serve the community now.;. I know Kinuko through various community volunteer channels, where she helps out in_ various committees and other volunteer positions. s rz.:R When I recently read Chair Evans' charter amendment of new requirements for planning commissioners, I kept thinking: "Kinuko covers pretty much most of the expertise list." Besides being a wonderful person, Kinuko has immense experience with planning, land use, as well as, caring for our environment. She is also familiar with Ka Pa'akai Analysis. All of these elements together make a great mind for this seat, particularly in a time when smart growth is necessary as our environment continues to change. She also has incredibly deep roots in Kohala, which allows her to have a shorthand language of trust and familiarity amongst the local community who cares so deeply about Keeping Kohala. In sum, Kinuko beholds the knowledge and integrity that can serve the'aina, the culture, and the leeward communities of this island. She's already doing all three. Mahalo for reading.
