Letter of Reference: Kinuko Noborikawa
Aloha,
It is my distinct pleasure to write this letter of recornmend ation to the Hawaii
Island County Council and Planning Department for the nomination of Kinuko
Noborikawa.
I was the Executive Director` from 2003 to 2020 of the North Kohala Community
Resource Center (NKCRC), a robust and respected non-profit serving the district
of North Kohala. I first encountered Kinuko at NKCRC in 2014 when she
approached the Center to support the new project KNKR, our local radio station
that NKCRC was incubating by raising funds and supporting their start-up
planning. Starting in 2016, Kinuko began supporting the station financially and
stayed involved in following and supporting the radio's growth and success to this
day.
Through this encounter andlpresently enjoying working with her on the volunteer
Growth Management cornrrittee of the North Kohala CDP, I have found Kinuko to
be a highly qualified, detail oriented, caring and committed member of the
community, She is exactly the kind of person we need to steer the planning and
future of our Island. I wholeheartedly endorse her nomination. Please feel free to
