SUBJECT: Proposed Amendment to Bill No. 149; AN ORDINANCE AMENDING
SECTION 25-8-14 (WAIKOLOA VILLAGE ZONE MAP), ARTICLE 8,
CHAPTER 25 (ZONING) OF THE HAWAPI COUNTY CODE 1983 (2016
EDITION, AS AMENDED), BY CHANGING THE DISTRICT
CLASSIFICATION FROM OPEN (0) TO INDUSTRIAL -COMMERCIAL
MIXED — 20,000 SQUARE FEET (MCX-20) AT WAIKOLOA, HAWAPI,
COVERED BY TAX MAP KEY: 6-8-003:041 (Por.),
Transmitted herewith is a proposed amendment to Bill No. 149. The amendment is shown below
in Ramseyer format with respect to the contents of Bill No. 149; material to be deleted is
bracketed and stricken, material to be added is underscored.
SECTION 2 of Bill No. 149 is amended by amending condition L to read as follows:
"L. To ensure that the Goals and Policies of the Housing Element of the General Plan
are implemented, the applicant shall comply with the requirements of Chapter 11,
Article 1, Hawai`i County Code relating to Affordable Housing Policy. This
requirement shall be approved by the Administrator of the Office of Housing and
Community Development and met prior to Final Plan Approval or Final
Subdivision ApprovalH, whichever occurs first.
A copy of the new draft of the bill that would result if this proposed amendment were adopted is
not attached due to the limited scope of the amendment.
