SUBJECT: Proposed Amendment to Bill No. 138, Draft 2; AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE 7, OF THE HAWAI`I COUNTY
CODE 1983 (2016 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO
PLANNING.
Transmitted herewith is a proposed amendment to Bill No. 138, Draft 2. The amendment is
shown below in Ramseyer format with respect to the contents of Bill No. 138, Draft 2; material
to be deleted is bracketed and stricken, and material to be inserted is underscored.
SECTION 4 of Bill No. 138, Draft 2, which provides for the effective date, is amended to read as
follows:
"SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect [upon its approval.] on July 31, 2024."
Due to the limited scope of the proposed amendment, a copy of the new draft of this bill that
would result if it were adopted is not attached.
