Real property tax penalties revenue is expected to exceed the amount budgeted for FY 2023- 24, requiring additional funds be appropriated into the PONC and Disaster and Emergency Fund transfer accounts in order to maintain compliance. Enclosed is a bill for an Ordinance amending the Operating Budget by increasing appropriations of$1,000,000 to the Transfer to Public Access/Open Space, and Natural Resources Preservation Fund, and $500,000 to the Transfer to Disaster and Emergency Fund. We respectfully request that this bill be waived from the Finance Committee and be placed on the June 5, 2024 Council agenda in order to ensure execution within FY 2023- 24.
