These funds will be used to hold a free used tire collection and disposal event for Hawai`i County residents with educational outreach associated with tire waste. Enclosed is a resolution to enter into an agreement to accept these funds. Also enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating this $10,000. The Department of Environmental Management is requesting that this bill be waived • from the Finance Committee and be placed on the June 5, 2024 Council agenda in order to expedite the receipt of these funds.
