Communication No. 855,transmitted by Mayor Mitchell D. Roth, dated April 26, 2024, requests
the Council's review and confirmation of the nomination of Mel Yokoyama, Jr. to the Ka`u
Community Development Plan Action Committee.
Deputy Managing Director Robert Command was present in the Kona Chambers to introduce
Mr. Yokoyama, who was present in the Hilo Chambers.
Your Committee on Governmental Operations and External Affairs is in accord with the purpose
and intent of Communication No. 855, and recommends confirmation of the appointment of
Mel Yokoyama,Jr. to,the Ka`u Community Development Plan Action Committee.
