SUBJECT: Proposed Amendment to Resolution No. 527-24; a Resolution
Transferring/Appropriating an Appropriation Out and From a Designated Fund
Account and Crediting Same to a Designated Fund Account to Provide a Grant to
the Waimea Hawaiian Homesteaders Association Inc. to Purchase a Bronze
Plaque for the James "Jimmy" Correa Ballfield at Dr, Francis F. C. Wong
Stadium
Please see below proposed amendments to Resolution No. 527-24. The proposed amendments
are illustrated below in Ramseyer format as applied to the current contents of Resoultion No.
527-24. Material to be deleted is bracketed and stricken; material to be inserted is underscored.
1. The third WHEREAS is amended to be read as follows:
"WHEREAS, Bill No. 103, Draft 2, was duly enacted as Ordinance No. 24-3 with
an effective date of June 15, 2024, the 105'h anniversary of Coach Correa's birthday,
which will be recognized through.a dedication ceremony that will be open to the public;
and"
2. The sixth WHEREAS clause is amended to read as follows:
"WHEREAS, the Waimea Hawaiian Homesteaders Association .Inc. is requesting
funds to purchase a bronze plaque for the James "Jimmy" Correa Ballfield [at] to bg
installed and affixed to a column at the entrance of the Dr. Francis F. C. Wong Stadium;
and"
Due to the limited scope of this amendment, a draft copy of the Draft 2 of this resolution
that would result if this proposed amendment is adopted is not attached,
