Subject: Testimony for Council Bill 140-24
Dear Council Members,
we are in support of Council Bill 140-24 that requires any Solid Waste Disposal facility/transfer station to
operated and open to the public no less than two days a week.
We live in Kalapana Seaview Estates and can confirm that there is a need for more than 1 day of
operation per week-which is obvious to anyone who lives here.
If the demographics attached below are correct then the population in the Kalapana area deserves that
the Transfer Station on Highway 137 (Red Road) be open 4-5 days a week.
