Subject: Bill 169- Kona Three LLC Zone Amendment Application (PL-REZ-2022-000033)
Hodgepodge by definition is a group of things or people that don't fit.The 40 yr old zoning plan to
allow such a thing is now obsolete. The infrastructure that exists cannot sustain more. Adding housing
that truly will not be affordable, on land that is historical will be a "ROYAL HODGEPODGE".
Please note that this is all about the Money.They bought 70 acres at a bargain price and will more
than likely just flip it if approved.They stated that they don't have the funds at the last planning
commission meeting. Age is not on their side. Completion of the project would likely happen after
these men are no longer living. Flipping it with plans and approval is the only option.
Hopefully the Council can see through all the smoke and mirrors. If not we will have us a "ROYAL
HODGEPODGE ".
