Subject: Oppose Bill 169, Kona Three LLC
Aloha County Council,
Please oppose Bill 169.The attempt by the developer to circumvent the Leeward Planning Commission
and avoid discussion of the negative recommendation by the Cultural Resources Commission (CRC)
looks like an attempt to railroad through their personal objectives,to the detriment of multiple public
issues.
The CRC said this area has such cultural and historic significance that it should be"preserved in
perpetuity."
Archaeological remains are a critical"library"to Hawai'i's pre-contact culture, history, and identity.They
deserve respect and preservation.

There are many additional reasons to oppose this development, including:water,wastewater, runoff and
ocean health,traffic, emergency services, public infrastructure, affordable housing,
