Subject: Testimony on Bill 169 - Kona Three, LLC
Aloha Committee Members,
I wanted to get this information to you so you had time to review the Cultural Resources Commission Meeting -July 12,
2023 and there recommendation to protect this land in perpetuity.
During this meeting many important things were brought up. Most importantly the site visit to the property.
Mr. Tom Pohaku Stone who is considered an expert provided many interesting facts and details about the
attributes of this property both Pre and Post discovery. Mr. Stone did comment that some lands in Kona should
not have been developed because of the Hawaiian History and Cultural significance. Once it's gone it's gone for
good. (Please not that Mr. Stone was not compensated for his time, only the love of the land).
