Subject: opposition to "Kona Three LLC" development extension
Hello -
I write in opposition to the extension and approval of the Kona Three, LLC permit.As a resident of
Pualani Estates, I cannot support this development in any way, shape, or form.
The Cultural Resources Commission's recommendation that the property be preserved in perpetuity
should be heard. There are myriad plants and animals that would be disrupted and we don't need
that.
Our schools cannot absorb the number of students that would go in there, we don't need any
additional stress on the wastewater system that is already at capacity. The development is in a flood
plain- I have driven past many times and heard the water rushing through the culverts below the
highway. It will increase gridlock for everyone.
We need more housing but we also need a developer who hasn't tried to sidestep affordable housing
regulations.
Please do not allow this extension to happen, and please do not further entertain any efforts to
develop this land. There are important archeological and cultural resources that would be put at risk.
