Dear County Council-
I write (again) in opposition to Royal Vistas development and the seemingly endless process
wherein the developers keep hoping for a different decision from Council. I live in Pualani
Estates, and the primary reason for my opposition is that this new development would greatly
increase the current unacceptable level of traffic on the one highway through the area, for
residents, first responders and, if needed, evacuation. We do not need more congestion on
current roads. Associated county infrastructure, such as sewer and water is already stretched
thin.The inclusion of additional short-term rental and investment properties compounds this
problem.
The developers have jerked Council and residents around for so many years. Enough is
enough. I urge you to reject the current proposal, and to make clear to the developers that
there should not be further proposals unless all concerns, these and others raised in prior
hearings, are met.
