Subject: Opposition to Bill 169 for the extension of development permit for Kona Vistas
Dear Distinguished Members of the Council,
I am Dee Wunschel, a Vice- President of Pualani Estates and a member of the Pualani Estates
neighborhood. I am also an avid paddler with Keahou Canoe Club and pier swimmer,two hobbies that
should be possible to do in a single morning but even without an additional 450 units it is a 45 minute trek
between Keahou and the pier on any given school day. I cannot imagine it will even be possible should
this development be allowed to proceed given the current infrastructure.We already have traffic
congestion which rivals cities with millions of people please do not turn us into a third world country.
I share the desire to provide housing for all but it should not be allowed south of Henry Street unless and
until there is sufficient streets to handle the additional traffic.
