Subject: Fwd: Kaimu/Kalapana transfer station
Hello—I'm writing to ask that you PLEASE consider expanding the number of days that our transfer
station is open. It's currently open only on Saturday&that's simply not enough for the growing
population down here. I don't know why it went from being open 24/7 (AND there were recycle bins)to
this insufficient schedule, but we need more days to dump our trash so people will hopefully stop leaving
their bags of trash outside the locked gate when the transfer station is closed.
I have been a resident of Hawaii for 29 years; 16 of those have been in lower Puna.Thank you for taking
