Subject: Please open the Kalapana transfer station more than one day per week
Dear Council members,
When I moved to lower Puna, there was no fence on the transfer station on Kalapana-
Kapoho Road. Then at some point there came a fence. But we still had plenty of
opportunities to throw our rubbish away. Then we got some recycling there, and it was
so good!
Now we only have it open one day a week without any recycling. I know Covid
happened, but we're not in the pandemic any more. At this point, we really, really need
it to be open more days per week.
Also, we really need to have recycling back there.
