As landowners on Pohoiki Rd, my husband and I would like to see Pohoiki Rd restored to its original state before the 2018
lava flow. I am not sure why condemnation is even necessary as the road should have already had easements and right of
ways.
As of now we have only one way out over a temporary road should there be another flow in the area. Our commute time
is twice as far and twice as long and puts us around 45 minutes from emergency services and approximately one hour
and 15 minutes from shopping, doctors, hospital in Hilo.
A road is also necessary for restoring the boat ramp at Isaac Hale Park.
