I purchased my home in November of 2020. Throughout my time here I have repaired countless leaks in my water line and continuously find holes along the line. Mamalahoa highway is where my meter is located; and my water line runs along Church of God Road, some 500 plus feet to my house. Due to the elevation change from the meter to my home (several hundred feet),the water pressure towards the bottom is higher than it should be. My line has gotten weak over the years as well and holes appear on a weekly basis. I have learned to patch the holes with hose clamps, as it's too time consuming and costly to fully cut and repair it each time. I have gotten to the point where as long as my meter is not spinning too fast, I am satisfied, as my water bill and water waste will not be too drastic. It's been over a year since my meter has fully stopped spinning, as I am unable to locate all leaks along my line(due to the unmaintained terrain it follows). It would make sense for me to update my water line at this point. However, considering the initiatives outlined in Resolution No. 542, I.have decided to hold off. Please know that my significant other and I fully support this resolution and strongly encourage us to proceed with these absolutely necessary repairs.
