Subject: Resolution 542
Aloha Council member Holeka Inaba and honorable Council members,
Please vote YES on Resolution No. 542 to proceed with constructing a waterline in Iki Place and
paving our road. This project was started during Karen Eoff's term, so we have waited a long time
and are looking forward to this wonderful improvement in our lives. A very huge mahalo to Wendy
Baez and Councilmember Holeka Inaba for seeing this project through to completion.
Currently we have email alerts several times per month about a leaking waterline to fix. All 15
homeowners run up to the water meters on the Mamalahoa Highway to check if our water meter is
spinning around caused by the leak. Since the water meters are about half a mile uphill from our
homes the pressure increases enough to burst the PVC lines and even the more robust Driscoll
lines.
Having water meters at our homes and a paved road will reduce the wear and tear on our cars and
greatly increase our quality of life. Please vote yes. Mahalo for your attention to this measure, it is
greatly appreciated.
