.;NSY OF NIA'. <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAI`I • •+� �''' /_••- STATE OF HAWAI`I <br /> ..7TE Cf•Mpl <br /> r . <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 552 24 <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL <br /> YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI-YEAR LEASE OF REAL <br /> PROPERTY FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I OFFICE OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY <br /> DEVELOPMENT <br /> WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or other <br /> obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one <br /> fiscal year be approved by resolution; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawai`i Office of Housing and Community Development currently <br /> rents office space identified as a portion of TMK: (3) 2-2-040:036, Unit G, Suite 107, situated at 1990 <br /> Kino`ole Street, District of South Hilo, County and State of Hawai`i, and owned by Kaneshiro & Sons <br /> Enterprise, Limited and Glenn Kaneshiro Partnership ("Landlords"); and <br /> WHEREAS,the County of Hawaii Department Office of Housing and Community <br /> Development continues to need this rental space for the near future and so desires to enter into a multi- <br /> year lease agreement which is anticipated to commence on July 1, 2024, for a five-year term; and <br /> WHEREAS,the County of Hawai`i Office of Housing and Community Development is <br /> requesting authorization for the Mayor to enter into a multi-year lease agreement with Landlords for <br /> this rental space; now,therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that the Mayor <br /> of the County of Hawai`i, is hereby authorized to enter into a multi-year lease with Kaneshiro & Sons <br /> Enterprise, Limited and Glenn Kaneshiro Partnership, for a five-year term beginning July 1, 2024. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to <br /> cover the anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the lease. <br />
